Okeechobee Christian Academy was established to provide a quality Christian education for students. Students who are enrolled and those applying for admission to OCA are evaluated on the basis of their:
Five-year-old Kindergarten and First Grade applicants must be five and six years of age respectively before September 1st of the school year for which they are applying. Exceptions will be made at the discretion of the Principal and upon the parents’ signed agreement of the Premature Age Enrollment Disclaimer.
All students must be fully toilet-trained. Your child must be toilet trained for a classroom environment. Due to supervisory and health concerns, the OCA staff will not be responsible for changing soiled clothing.

A parentally placed private school student with a disability does not have an individual right to receive some or all of the special education and related services that the student would receive if enrolled in a public school under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), as amended.

Submit all necessary documents, along with $50 Application fee, to the Office once the online application has been completed:
Entering K5: Students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of the following areas at/or above 50%: recognition of letters (upper and lower case) and sounds, numbers 0-20, sequentially counting 1-10, reciting the alphabet, and demonstrating writing skills. Students are also evaluated on their ability to sit in a chair and cooperate without a parent/guardian present.
Entering Grade 1: Students should score at/or above reading 20 words per minute/70% correct and 70% on the Math assessment.
Entering Grades 2-8: Students should score at/or above 50% percentile in each subject area.

Students not meeting the Admission Testing Benchmark may be ineligible for acceptance to OCA.
Returning Students
Once ALL steps are completed your space will be reserved. Please Note: For all students, registration will not be considered complete until the office has accepted all paperwork/notarized forms and necessary fees have been paid. For any additional siblings not currently attending OCA, an application for enrollment will need to be completed through your parent portal–select “2024-2025 Portal-New Student (Sibling)” from the drop down menu in Online Forms.
