5-YEAR OLD KINDERGARTEN
Students in kindergarten receive instruction in the following:
- Bible
- Phonics
- Reading
- Science
- Social Studies
- Numbers
- Writing
- Language
- Health
Kindergarten uses a variety of curricula including Abeka Book, Bob Jones University, and Purposeful Design. Specific educational websites such as XtraMath and Let’s Go Learn are used in support of book texts. Students also learn good work habits and social skills. They are taught to appreciate art, music, poetry, and drama. Students in 5-year old kindergarten regularly participate in physical education (P.E.) activities and chapel.
ELEMENTARY
Students in grade levels 1-6 receive instruction and numeric grades in the following academic and non-academic courses:

- Health, Safety, and Manners
- Physical Education

- Cursive Penmanship
OCA uses a combination of curricula in the elementary grades including Abeka Book, Bob Jones University Press, and Purposeful Design. Specific educational websites such as XtraMath, Let’s Go Learn, and Khan Academy are also utilized. Student grades are formulated on the basis of skills practice assignments, quizzes, tests, and special tasks or projects.
